Job Description
This position will work for two hospitals in Mesa, AZ. In working with these hospitals and corporate management they will ensure standards for compliance policies are developed, implemented, and administered.
Conducts thorough and timely investigations of complaints lodged against the facility, assess the viability and severity of the complaints. Identifies, implements, and maintains Compliance policies and procedures in coordination with management and administration, appropriate task force(s), and legal counsel.
Ensures that the compliance policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated. Ensures that all employees are informed when policies and procedures are changed or updated.
Prepares the facility’s quarterly report to the CEO, Corporate Compliance Committee, General Counsel, regarding the status of the compliance program.
Oversees and directs initial compliance training on policies and procedures to all employees, volunteers, medical and professional staff, board members, and other appropriate parties. Maintains documentation that all required training has occurred in a timely manner.
Establish a mechanism to track compliance issues within the facility and as required by law and to allow qualified individuals to review or receive a report on such activity.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred in business, nursing, or healthcare management. Minimum 5 yrs clinical experience as an RN, LPN, Social worker case manager or similar type of clinical experience and knowledge of health information management. Experience in one of the following areas preferred: healthcare billing, performance improvement, quality management or the clinical setting. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards is required. Familiar with APC, reimbursement, billing compliance and other finance programs as appropriate. Advanced experience in MS office products. Excellent customer skills.
