A Health System in the Pacific Northwest seeks The Vice President of Medical Affairs
The Vice President, Medical Affairs is a leadership position created to continue, and further develop, the positive mutually supported relationships between the health systems hospitals and its physicians. This function includes the oversight of medical staff activities at two hospitals and the design of leadership development and educational programs for physicians.
This Position Requires:
- Candidate must be an experienced physician.
- MBA or MPH or similar advanced healthcare management degree
- One or more years experience in a senior management position at a comparable hospital or health system.
- Five years credible clinical experience with proven practice success.
- Well-regarded medical degree with excellent post-graduate medical, MD or DO licensure with Board Certification in area of specialty, licensed to practice in any state, and eligible for Oregon Licensure.
- Ability to think strategically and to make clear, well-reasoned decisions.
- Ability to relate to healthcare professionals and their concerns.
- Ability to build trust and develop consensus with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop new programs and policies to enhance the quality and access to care for the community with ability to lead change management initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship development skills with both internal and external constituents.
- Personal and professional integrity of the highest degree.
- Results oriented, innovative and flexible.

- Experience in the medical communities of Oregon.
