Level II Trauma & Ambulatory Surgery Center
Job Description
Wisconsin
CRNA needed to work in central Wisconsin at level II trauma center and possibly an ambulatory surgery center. When you are at the surgery center you will be providing anesthesia for all cases except bypass cases. You won’t have to place epidurals or central lines either. The doctors will do all the OB call cases. At the hospital the CRNAs rotate between a small variety of shifts. The first shift starts at 7 am with surgeries beginning at 7:30 am, then 2 CRNAs will come in at noon and one of them will be 2nd call. An in house call CRNA will come in at 3 pm and that person will take call till 7 am the next day. Two CRNAs will split a weekend call each taking a day to cover cases. Note that weekday call comes around once or twice a month, and weekend call rotation occurs once every six or seven weeks. With the great relationship between the doc, CRNAs, surgeons, and the OR staff it makes it a relax place to work. With this harmonic atmosphere it is easy to see why there is not a lot of turn over. The CRNAs range from 5 years to 20 years of service at these facilities.
