East Texas Seeks Cardiologist

Job Description

This premier single specialty cardiovascular group plans to add an Interventional or Invasive Non-Interventional cardiologist (cardiac CT training would also be a plus) to their growing progressive group. This group consists of two Interventionalists (one of whom is trained in peripheral vascular procedures) and one Invasive Cardiologist who is trained in pacemaker insertions. Each of these cardiologists is board certified in internal medicine, as well as subspecialty boards. The practice has a nuclear camera and an echocardiogram in house. As well, the practice has several studies in clinical and basic research. They see patients at the two major hospitals within a half mile radius. The two hospitals have a total of eleven cath labs between the two facilities.

The governance of the group is based on strong team effort between the physicians and a non-physician administrator. They believe in high clinical standards coupled to sensible business policies and practices. The salary and time to partnership is competitive and is based on the training and experience of the candidate. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team are a prerequisite for hire. Call will be 1:4, with a weekend every three months.
