Qualifications:
• MD
• New Jersey licensed preferred
• Minimum 5 years senior medical administrative experience.
• Solid track record in education, research and/or scholarly activities desirable.
• Prefer candidate with track record of strong administrative and business acumen.
Responsible To: Vice President, Medical Affairs
Competencies / Responsibilities:
• Investigates feasibility of new programs and services.
• Provides leadership, management and motivation to the department.
• Advocates retention strategies within department and across Center.
• Supports hospital’s initiatives and priorities.
• Directs medical activities of the department.
• Directs clinical research, continuing medical education, clinical and interventional fellowship training programs, and rotating medical student affiliation.
• Exercises fiscal responsibility in the day-to-day activities of the department.
• Routinely reviews budgets, expenditures, professional charges, receipts and department activities.
• Oversees quality of clinical work and compliance with internal and external regulatory expectations.
• Assist in workload of the department, being productive in clinical areas.
Anticipated Annual Total Compensation: $400,000 - $550,000
Department Composition: 26 geographically on-site, salaried Cardiologists, 5 Hospitalists, 10 Physician Assistants, 1 Nurse Practitioners, and 16 Cardiology Fellows.
Hours / Call: Typical schedule 8:00 – 5:00.

Adult Cath Lab: 4,000 diagnostic and 2,000 interventional procedures.
Electrophysiology: 1,700 implants; 1,000 ablations; 1,500 other procedures.
Nuclear Medicine: 16,000 studies
Non-Invasive Lab: 13,500 echo’s; 23,500 EKG’s
