Partnership
No buy-in
State of the art
Job Description
Stable, established, group in Central Indiana. First year compensation package approaching $300,000. 1 year track to partnership with no buy-in. 400 bed hospital and tertiary referral center with 55,000 annual ED visits. State of the art ED opened in July 2003. The 21,000-square-foot facility, positioned at the front of the hospital where it is more visible and accessible, represents a drastic shift from the traditional ER. It has no waiting room, which have been dubbed "neglect rooms" over the years. Instead it features a reception area and 35 private rooms that are big enough for patients and their families. Each room is outfitted with a television, phone and needed medical equipment. The absence of a waiting room forces the department to operate more efficiently.
The ER has dedicated X-ray and lab services, and an electronic tracking system is being used to facilitate patients' movements through triage and treatment. Candidates must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine within 5 years of completion of their training program.
