Job Description

Recruiting a full-time emergency physician for immediate placement for Level 1 Trauma Center due to unprecedented growth and patient volume. Qualified candidates must be Emergency Medicine Residency trained and Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Salary for the Emergency Medicine position is $150-$160/hour for approximately 1900 hours worked annually + a year end bonus with continued annual bonus sharing, partnership track with significant pay increase at that time, paid malpractice and potential sign-on bonus. The placed physician’s schedule will be composed of a 9 week rotation with one week on followed by a week off with 30 days off during each 9 week period. Varying shift lengths from 8 to 12 hours will be available.

There are currently 11 full-time Emergency Medicine physicians with Holston Valley Medical Center as well as five full time physician extenders. Five providers are scheduled to see patients during peak hours. Seven of the physicians in this very stable and highly respected practice have been with the group for at least 14 years.

There are 42-beds in the Trauma Center Emergency Room with approximately 75,000 patients being seen each year. Expansions to the Emergency Department are currently underway as part of an overall 100 million dollar hospital expansion.

Emergency Room consists of a dedicated Fast-Track area, and separate major/minor trauma and acute care areas. The ER is well-staffed with approximately 113+ full time equivalents which provides a favorable nursing/support staff ratio for every shift.
