Opportunity for an experienced physician to become a core member of the Emergency Department. Located within commuting distance from San Antonio, this is a community hospital with a well-equipped, efficiently run ED. This position is ideal for either an EM trained physician or a primary care physician with a strong Emergency Medicine background (at least two years). This position offers excellent back-up and an earning potential as high as $200K on an independent contractor basis. Malpractice coverage is provided with no deduction from the hourly rate. No State Income Tax. Physician requirements are DEA, DPS, Texas License, current ACLS, ATLS, PALS with experience (2+ yrs) in emergency medicine.
The Medical Center is a 32 bed acute care hospital with an ICU and Labor and Delivery department. All pregnancy complications 20 weeks and over and all deliveries go directly to the L&D Department bypassing the ER.
66-bed, full service community hospital JCAHO accredited 24-hour, Level IV Trauma emergency department, home health agency, intensive care unit, maternal and newborn center, medical/surgical unit, cardiac catherterization lab, sleep disorder center, Senior Circle and Healthy Woman program.
