Job Description
Physician-owned, single specialty group of physicians seeks additional physician for ER coverage. 16K volume facility, 12 hour shifts, single coverage. Independent contractor status with physician owned group with hourly rate plus paid malpractice. Facility is within commuting distance of San Antonio. Physician must be BC in ER or BC in PC with 2 years of ER experience. Also must have Texas license along with current ACLS, ATLS and PALS.
The community has an 18-hole golf course lined with large live oak trees, a four-screen movie theater, and weekend steer ropings. Hunting abounds, and there are city parks and pavilions with sports facilities, swimming pools, and a multitude of churches and excellent restaurants. The area is also home to many active civic groups.
The community is only one hour to antique shopping in the beautiful hill country, two hours to the Gulf of Mexico beaches, and 2 hours to shopping in Laredo. The Longhorn Museum, in nearby Pleasanton, is rich with local history, cowboy heritage, a safari, and local hunting trophy mounts. The area also features a theater performance group, and annual art shows. The area boasts several annual festivals and fairs.
