Twin County Regional Hospital is a 141-bed facility that includes acute care, ambulatory care, and emergency services. TCRH is considered a rural hospital that serves a large Medicare population, as well as, a total population of approximately 60,000. This facility is one of the few hospitals left that is stand-alone and not for profit.
The Emergency Department at TCRH has been serving patients since 1970 and currently treats over 17,000 patients a year. Twin County Regional Hospital has a helipad for the convenience of flight transfers to and from the Emergency Department and works closely with the local Emergency Services. With around-the-clock physician staffing, the ER is able to respond to medical and surgical emergencies and initiate life-saving procedures in all types of emergency situations. Physician Shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Mid-level Shifts: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Saturday - Monday).
