Western Virginia GI Position
Job Description
The current GI started in January of 2005. His practice ramped up in 2 months and he now has a 4 week waiting list. Due to the waiting time, cases are leaving the market. In 2005, there were a total of 4227 endoscopy procedures. The current GI physician performed 1303 of those procedures. The new GI has an opportunity to quickly build a busy practice and should have a full practice in less than 6 months.
In one of our secondary market areas, there is a small 25 bed facility. The facility does not have a gastroenterologist on staff. There is a multi-specialty clinic located on campus with the opportunity to set up a satellite clinic. This is another volume opportunity for the new recruit as well as establishing a relationship with the primary care physicians and patients in that area.
