Job Description

Responsible for directing, supervising, instructing, treating and evaluating patients. Physician organizes and conducts medical care programs to facilitate maximum wellness and rehabilitation of patients. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited medical school and possess a license to practice medicine in Alabama. Must have sufficient residency training and experience to be eligible or certified by an appropriate American medical Specialty Board. Will perform specialized examinations. Administer specialized treatments and/or medications. Have admitting priveleges at a hospital in the community, make rounds of certain hospitalized patients. Applicant must have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of modern medicine, of the diagnosis & treatment of diseases and of current developments in his/her specialty. Must have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public health, and the ability to deal effectively with patients, families, staff and supervisors. Must maintain appropriate CME requirements as determined by medical specialty and all medical requirements as required by the State of Alabama Medical Association.
