BE/BC Surgeon needed for northern NY due to a newly developed hospitalbased practice. Advanced laparoscopic skills would be an asset to the department as these skills are not currently available. All the surgeons practice the full spectrum of bread and butter surgery and support further recruitment. They do not practice vascular surgery as we have two vascular surgeons on staff. Call would be 1:5 for the ER. Nonprofit level II trauma center serving a tricounty area of 170 000. The incoming physician would share office space and support staff with 3 other docs. Employed position with a base salary plus a productivity incentive with a comprehensive benefit package. Position located in a picturesque community of 38 000 located on Lake Champlain and at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Live where others vacation. It is extremely safe with a low cost of living slightly above the national average. There are excellent schools both public and private.
