Job Description
Located in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, a General Surgeon is needed for top-rate community hospital. The hospital has two employed surgeons. However, one of these surgeons is leaving to do a fellowship. This is an employed opportunity with the option to become independent after the guarantee period. The ideal candidate is someone who has two to five years of experience. Vascular skills would be a plus but not required. However, the new general surgeon will spend the majority of her/his time doing general surgery. There is one other independent surgeon in town and they share call. Call will be 1:3. These surgeons are only called into the hospital two to three times per month. This hospital will provide a highly competitive first-year starting base salary of $325,000, $50,000 signing bonus, and a retention bonus to be negotiated. Relocation, paid malpractice and a good benefits package are all provided.
