Well-established 315-bed hospital with a 100+ year legacy of healthcare in central Louisiana, providing care within the community and a service area population of 450,000 Hospital offers a wide array of services. The medical staff includes physicians in more than 30 medical specialties.

At the hospital, the Intensivist / Hospitalist Team of five full and part-time intensivist and internal medicine hospitalist physicians will provide on-site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Day shifts are generally 7 am – 7 pm, night shifts from 7 pm-7 am. The schedule consists of four to seven days on and four to seven days off. Each full time intensivist / hospitalist will work 192 hours of clinical/professional medical services per month, consisting of approximately 12 and eight-hour shifts. The Intensivist / Hospitalist Team will provide service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge. The Intensivist / Hospitalist Program an integral component for the delivery of inpatient healthcare at the Hospital.
