Facility in Southern Maine is needing a Hospitalist to provide locums coverage ASAP-June. Also a possibility for a permanent position. We will license! Hospitalist is responsible for managing patients in the ICU, and well as general medical/surgical floors. There are no Intensivists on staff.. The Hospitalist service is staffed with both full-time and part-time positions. The full-time hospitalist schedule generally includes one week off per month, with rotating days and nights during the other 3 weeks. The day shift is 10 hours (7am to 5pm), with an 8 hour night shift (11pm to 7am.) The focus of the hospitalist work on nights is new admissions, with rounding turned over to the daytime hospitalists. The evening shifts (consisting of 6 hours) are covered by the part-time hospitalists. However, the client will be flexible with the locums candidate on the schedule. The daily hospitalist census ranges from 18-22 patients. This census is covered by 3 Hospitalists on the day shift. Call or email if you are interested!.
