28237 - Incredible situation for a Hospitalist. Excellent locum tenens job opportunity near Boston, Massachusetts. The job is immediate until the end of the year. Location is a 180-bed hospital. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 7AM-7PM, 7PM to 7AM, or 7on/7 off. Client is flexible and will consider other schedules. Patient volume is 15-17 PPD. Procedures are not required, as the residents do them, but the hospitalist may elect to do them if they choose to. Central Lines, Nasal Gastric Tube, IV Fluids, Peripheral Lines, and Intubations if the locums is comfortable. Admissions to medicine, histories and physicals, and admission orders are usual. There are Critical Care physicians to cover all ICU patients. There is a Transitional Residency Program at the hospital and the residents cover and do all procedures, supervised by ICU doctors. There is no ICU responsibility for the locums hospitalist. Enjoy the best chowder on the Eastern Seaboard! This area has it all; historic buildings and artifacts around every corner.
