Job Description
Hospital is seeking a full time Hospitalist who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine to manage and oversee inpatients in its CARF – accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, swing bed, and acute care units. See an average of 13 patient/day. Candidates must have at least two years experience managing patients with multiple therapy components. Call coverage is provided. Acute Care “hospitalist” role is like to grow quickly and the hospital is prepared to recruit additional staff. Hospital is offering either a competitive employment relationship or an income guarantee. In case of an income guarantee, the agreement would also cover agreed-upon practice expenses.
Practice opportunity is located in a rural community of approximately 4,000 residents. The town’s economy is predominantly agriculture, with both large farms and an expanding presence of small organic farms, due in part to the growing influence of an Amish and Mennonite population. The community is a conservative, family value-oriented community, with a good school system offering a variety of educational and athletic opportunities for its youth. There are also two private school systems located within 15 minutes of this city.
Lapeer is the closest larger community, a 40 minute drive, offering a variety of shopping and dining choices. Utica, Port Huron, Saginaw and Flint are within an hour’s drive. There are lake resort communities 40 – 50 minutes away respectively. Michigan’s “Thumb” offers an abundance of outdoor recreation, including fishing, boating, hiking, and hunting opportunities, with a number of state game and land preserves within 30 minutes drive. #13781CC
