Licensed in Minnesota or able to become licensed in Minn., Board Certified in Internal Medicine, minimum of 5-years experience in practice. Practice experience can be in traditional inpatient/outpatient setting or as a Hospitalist. Demonstrated leadership and objectivity, proactive at two-way communication, active involvement in medical communities, locally and/or nationally, ie. Society of Hospital Medicine, etc. Ability to influence and motivate others. Responsible for overall clinical management of the Hospitalist service. Works closely with the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Vice President of Operations to assure clinical quality and financial performance is achieved. Specific responsibilities will include: 1) Oversight of the providers to assure that standard of care are maintained. Actively promote excellent patient service. 2) Lead within the organizational and committee structure to more efficiently and effectively improve clinical quality, patient satisfaction and resource utilization. 3) Participate in the orientation and professional development of new providers. 4) Participate in performance reviews and provide informal feedback to recognize, coach, and mentor team members. 5) Work with team development for physicians, nursing and support staff on inpatient units. 6) Work directly with administration to design physician recruitment plan. 7) Coordinate the master schedule for the team to ensure clinical coverage is provided. 8) Work directly with administration to ensure compensation model for physicians is relevant and consistent with market trends. 9) Will provide direct patient care as practicing physician within the Hospitalist group.
