HOSPITALIST
Position: Full time position (employed) IM or FP
Qualifications: BC/BE in IM or FP
Type of Practice: Hospital Service: includes ICU. Currently 3 MD’s in the service. Two are double boarded. The 4th MD will start in April. Schedule: 7 days on 7 days off. 1 call night each rotation: (additional salary)Day shifts until we reach 6 full time physicians then start 1 week of nights every 6 weeks. There are 2 Intensivist on staff in the ICU if needed.
Short term goal: Growth of program. Program started October
Long Term Goal: 6 providers to provide 24/7 coverage

Salary: Depends on experience. To be discussed but very competitive.
Inpatient Census: Goal: 15 patients per day (includes admissions)
Now: average inpatient census: FP is 16-20 IM is 12-14
Call: 1 night a week

An 88-bed acute care community hospital located in New Hampshire. Our medical staff includes more than 250 physicians and other healthcare providers, representing 39 specialties in addition to general practice. Our services include Medical/Surgical Unit (Spaulding II), Telemetry Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Oncology Hematology Services, 24-hour Emergency Room & Ambulance Service, Inpatient and Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, Women & Children's Health Unit (including Birth Care), Surgical Services (both day-surgery and traditional surgery), Radiology including: vascular lab, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT scanner, MRI, 64 slice and PET Scanner, Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Radiology, Sleep Lab,etc.
Location: Sea Coast Region; 20 minutes from coast; just over an hour to Boston; short drive to lakes and mountains
Population of Rochester: ~30K Service Area: 75,000 - 100,000
Taxes: No personal income tax and no sales tax in State of NH
