Full time employed position. Must be BC/BE in IM or FP (with ICU/CCU experience). Hospital Service; 7 days on 7 days off; day shifts only until they reach six full time physicians then they will start 1 week of nights every 6 weeks. Short term goal is growth of program. Long term goal is to have six providers to provide 24/7 coverage. Benefits: Insurance: malpractice, health, dental, long and short term disability and life; CME stipend: (2000); 403B retirement. Salary is very competitive. Current call schedule: 1 night a week of call. Inpatient census goal is 15 patients per day (includes admissions). At present average inpatient census: FP is 16-20 IM is 12-14.
The hospital is an 80+ bed acute care community hospital located in southeast, New Hampshire. The medical staff includes more than 250 physicians and other healthcare providers, representing 39 specialties in addition to general practice. Hospital recently, launched a Hospitalist Program. A two-year, 110,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the hospital is now underway.
Located just 20 minutes from the coast, Boston is just over an hour away, and it is a short drive to lakes and mountains. Population of the city is 30K and the service area is 75,000 - 100,000. No personal income tax and no sales tax in State of NH. Private, semiprivate and public elementary and secondary schools are options. Colleges and Universities close; entertainment and arts options include: Opera House, Academy of Performing Arts, Theater, University culture, Music Hall, Jazz Festival, and Center of the Arts. Recreation options in summer: swimming, boating, fishing, hunting etc. Winter recreation includes: cross country skiing, down hill skiing, snowmobiling.
