Job Description
This charming little town upstate New York community, five hours to Manhattan, is in need of an permanent Emergency Medicine Physician to join the four full timer and the 2 part timers they are. This is due to growth in the area. Emergency Medicine trained. Great benefits including an annuity plan and pension. Employee of the hospital with 12 hour shifts (6:30PM-6:00AM and 6:00AM -6:30PM. Minimum 12 shifts per month. 14K seen yearly. No trauma. They have electronic medical records. Snuggled in the picturesque hills of Central Upstate New York, this town is miles from the crime, grime, and congestion of the sprawling Northeast metropolises; yet, the cities of the Northeast US and Southeast Canada all lay within a few hours drive. Tourists marvel at our laid back open spaces and surrounding farms and forests. This town is where folks are still so friendly that cars stop and wait for pedestrians. Residents stroll on tree lined streets, plentiful parks or through there multi-storied downtown shops. Peaceful neighborhoods, where birds harmonize with church bells, a terrific educational system, and city services in a village setting make this an idyllic place to grow up or old; a place where a sense of community flourishes. All amenities. This is a college town. BC/BE – must be BC unless physician is a new grad or within the first few years of training with planned date to sit for Boards.
