This community is located in the upper northeast quadrant of NY. Very close to VT and Canadian border. Very good location for skiing and outdoor enthusiasts.
Non profit level 2 trauma center serving a tri county area of 170,000. 260 beds, approx 150 are acute. 155 physicians are on the medical staff. Their ER visits for 2006 were 52,065. They are one of the few hospitals in NY that operate in the black. Critical care unit has 14 beds, progressive care unit has 12 beds. Currently 3 physicians who live in the community working along with 2 full time locums. The opportunity is for a phyisician to work 12 hour shifts. One of the day shift physicians typically leaves early when the rounds are complete.

Compensation starts at $180k and moves up with experience. Full benefits, CME, relocation, sign on and malpractice are all part of the compesation package.
