Program Director, Hospitalist Program
The hospital is developing a Hospitalist Program and seeking a passionate, savvy medical director to plan, develop and implement the Hospitalist Program. The Medical Director will be responsible for the management and administration of the Hospitalist service and provide leadership and strategic direction
Develop and Implement Treatment Protocols
Build a culture of excellence among the physicians
Develop communication expectations
Develop and maintain quality and efficiencies
Review the performance of hospitalists as it pertains to quality outcomes, risk management, patient safety, patient satisfaction and utilization
Clinically supervises the physicians and physician extenders
Develop quality review plan and tracking
Ensure quality outcomes and operational goals are met.
Market the program to area physicians and hospitals
Qualifications: Successful development of a hospitalist program and experience as a physician leader in an acute care hospital setting. Excellent management and communication skills. Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, preferred, with a minimum of three to five years inpatient clinical experience.
