Hospitalist needed for expanding practice!

Job Description

THE POSITION:

Our client seeks a BE/BC Hospitalist to join 26 others in a busy academic medical center practice. This is a stable group that has lost only one physician in the last five years. The ages of members are spread evenly among experienced physicians and new graduates. Hospitalists are valued members of the medical staff, and are encouraged, but not required, to participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives.

Hospitalists provide general internal medicine services, and manage congestive heart failure and stroke units. Interested candidates have the option of participating in treating patients in a palliative care unit. Intensivists manage ICU patients.

THE PRACTICE:

• 12 hour shifts


• 18 shifts per month


• Physicians see 13-14 patient encounters per shift on days, less on nights

Competitive base salary
