Job Description

South Carolina is assisting the Hospitalist group locate an additional physician to join their practice. They have three physicians in the practice and are expanding their services. They are seeking someone with an internal medicine background and would love to have someone with critical care. The critical care is not an absolute.
They average 12 – 18 patients a day in the practice and about 20 percent of those are ICU patients. They do need someone who will be able to do central lines. Their typical schedule is to do rounds for six days followed by six days off. Call is every other day when on service and is 24 hours, but not in house. You would also be responsible for rounds the next day. You would average 12 – 16 days / shifts per month.
The group will provide a salary plus fringe benefits package with an opportunity for partnership after two years. The physicians in the practice are board certified in internal medicine. The service area for the hospital extends to well over 225,000.
You are conveniently located within three hours of the mountains, the beach and Atlanta, Georgia. The area is well known for its equestrian activities as well as for the golfing activities in Augusta.
