Job Description
The Primary Care Physicians currently share a 1:11 call schedule for unassigned patients. On an average there are 5-10 unassigned admissions per day. The primary care physicians are finding the call schedule is severely jeopardizing their outpatient clinics as well as their quality of life. The physicians have asked to develop a Hospitalist program to meet the needs of the physicians and the community. Beginning September, 2007 Memorial Hospital began the Hospitalist program with two Board Certified Internal Medicine Physicians. By September of 2008, the hospitalist program is intended to grow to four physicians.
