Job Description
Location: One hour to Washington, DC.
Facility/Opportunity: Community Hospitalist with 90+ beds, 10 ICU beds with brand new Hosptialist program that started in 2007. Hospitalists are provided through local group who staffs ED and Hospitalist physicians for two hospitals within 30 minutes of each other. Need is to add 3 additional Hospitalists to the 3 that are covering the hospital currently. Position is 6 on 6 off work schedule. Need someone comfortable with intubations and central lines. There are no intensivists at the hospital so all ICU beds are managed by the hospitalist service. The current admissions are coming from the largest primary are group in the area. Average census is 25. Once the group adds the other hospitalists then they will also handle the unassigned patients from the ED.
