Twp board certified/eligible internists or family physicians are needed to join the Hospitalist Program at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare-Mayo Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.



Franciscan Skemp Healthcare is a multispecialty group/healthcare network, part of Mayo Health System, with more than 200 physicians/associate providers, serving a primary care population base of 240,000. The hospitalist group shares in 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, providing 24-hour Hospital Medicine coverage. The Hospitalist Service takes care of patients from all areas of primary care, excluding pediatrics. Patients may also be referred by independent physicians within 60 miles of La Crosse. In addition to its main clinic/hospital in La Crosse, Franciscan Skemp has two other small community hospitals in WI and a total of twelve clinics located in WI, MN and IA within a 60-mile radius of La Crosse.



The Medical Center in La Crosse has 250 beds, Emergency Medical & Trauma Center (Level III) staffed 24 hours by Emergency Medicine physicians, a 16-bed combined medical/surgical ICU/CCU staffed by Critical Care physicians and cardiac cath lab. Full diagnostic radiology and laboratory services are available on site. The clinic facility is connected to the hospital. A Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (CAMS) was completed in July 2004, which houses new state-of-the-art OR suites, Day Surgery Unit and a comprehensive Cancer Center, including chemotherapy and radiation oncology.
