Job Description

A facility in Eastern Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internist to provide locum Hospitalist coverage beginning as soon as possible and continuing on an ongoing basis with a 7 on, 7 off schedule. On average, the physician can expect to see 15 patients per shift. There will be ICU/CCU duties, as well as procedures including evaluation and management of acute volume/ BP issues, EKG interpretation, arthrocentesis and lumbar puncture. If the physician is experienced and comfortable with paracentesis and thoracentisis, he/she will perform these procedures as well. In addition, the locum physician will be responsible for responding to in-house codes. There are two Hospitalists working during the day shift and one Hospitalist working the night shift. Shifts are 12 hours lasting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p. m to 7 a.m. Your travel, lodging and malpractice insurance will be provided if needed.
