Description: Responsible for providing clinical expertise regarding the Primary Care Medical needs of Register or log in for contact information patients. Some essential duties include: Provides direct patient care (non-research), including assisting in providing properly documented medical progress reports for patients. Provides research subject medical care, including identifying patients for current trials. Responds and provides input regarding the medical management of patient issues presented by the clinical research staff on an ongoing basis. Reviews and signs off on laboratory results and other patient related information. Completes forms for case managers, disability, etc., as required. Meets with medical director to discuss cases, procedures and quality assurance. Conducts special projects as assigned, and related to the operations of the Medical Care and/or Research Programs.
Qualifications: MD or DO degree is required. At least two years of experience in clinical work with HIV-infected persons are required, preferably in primary care. HIV/AIDS medical trainings are preferred. Florida Medical License, DEA Certification and Membership in appropriate governing board or being board eligible are required. Bilingual (English-Spanish) is preferred. Computer knowledge should include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and teamwork skills are required. Ability to work with multicultural and diverse population is required.
