Job Description
Raleigh-Durham area.
The Assoc Dir/Director participates in all aspects of Medical and Scientific Services' involvement on assigned trials. Provides leadership, management and direction to assigned staff. Assists in the implementation of department mission, goals and objectives, oversight of operations, development of policies and procedures and standards for the department.
Provide support to the business development and proposals teams which may include meeting with prospective clients and assessing the feasibility and risks associated with a particular study. Provide guidance to project managers on the medical and scientific aspects of assigned projects. Serve as regional or global medical advisor on select projects. Provide medical support to investigative sites and the project team for specific protocol related issues and issues of patient safety.
A medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school with a curriculum relevant to general medical education, along with a US medical license, plus a minimum of 5 years experience in clinical medicine, in addition to 4 years clinical development experience in the Pharma, CRO, or Biotech industry. Specialty Board certification desirable; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Hepatitis (B and C) Expertise preferred as well as a broad-based knowledge of other Infectious Diseases Therapeutic Areas.
Associate Director Bonus target is 15%. Director Bonus target is 25%.
