Job Description

This is the Ideal opportunity for a primary care internist seeking a traditional inpatient/outpatient practice in a rural setting. Full spectrum of adult and geriatric medicine. Service to one hospital. The position is for an independent contractor. Call is shared with family practice and averages once or twice a week, plus one weekend per month.

Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine. This position is for independent contractor status. Office expenses; relocation allowance; malpractice insurance; contract price is negotiable based on experience, performance and local market survey.

The hospital is a newly renovated 45-bed Critical Access Hospital and neonatal unit with 25 acute care beds and 20 long term care beds. 24-hour Emergency Department staffed by board certified emergency medicine physicians. Facility has twenty-two active medical staff members. The medical office building is located on the hospital campus. Facility operates 3 community clinics.
