Job Description

On behalf of our client company, Register or log in for contact information is currently seeking 2 Physicians in the areas of Family and/or Internal Medicine. Both positions are 6-month assignments with the potential of being extended. Position is offered with a great company and includes attractive salary and benefits!

Requirements:
a. Have an unrestricted license in a US state, territory or US commonwealth;
b. Speak English proficiently;
c. Provide evidence of demonstrated current clinical competence to perform appropriate outpatient care services;
d. Be a US citizen;
e. Be board eligible (defined as having successfully completed a residency within the past 4 years) or board certified in either FP or IM. Board certification is highly preferred.
f. Have a professional degree and education applicable to medical staff members, e.g., MD, DO;
g. Provide evidence of current professional liability insurance;
h. Provide evidence of current privileges (if applicable);
i. Provide contact information for most current employer(s) and at least two physician peer references
j. Have successfully completed American Heart Association BLS and ACLS course within the preceding 2 years. This criterion must be met throughout the contract period.
k. ability to work with electronic medical records

Description: The hired physician will be responsible for providing out-patient evaluation, assessment, and treatment to adult male and female veteran patients, including geriatric patients, excluding obstetric and gynecologic care. The physician will provide clinical support and supervision of two mid-level providers ( PA or NP). The Physician will be subject to credentialing by and receiving privileges from the medical center.

Contracting physician shall not be assigned call, weekend, or after-hours responsibilities.
Work hours: 10 hours per day between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, four days per week –Monday through Thursday. Federal Holidays observed!
