Job Description

General Internal Medicine physician sought for wellestablished primary care practice. Subspecialty interest in dermatology geriatric medicine pulmonology cardiology or gastroenterology welcomed. Call schedule is oneinfour weekends with coverage responsibility for inpatient census on Saturday and Sunday daytime shift 7 AM7 PM. The practice works closely with the Hospitalist service which provides evening and night coverage. This position is with a multispecialty primary care group practice located in a rural college town in Maine and owned by the hospital. The practice provides office and hospital adult medicine services and preventive and diagnostic cardiovascular services and serves a population of approximately 40 000. Current recruitment is undertaken to strengthen this primary care practice and increase access for the community to an internal medicine practice. Guaranteed base annual salary. Earn additional income for midlevel supervision and bonuses based on productivity incentives. Malpractice coverage provided. Educational loan repayment offered for $12 000/year for up to five years. Continuing education professional memberships subscriptions and certification fees paid to $4500. A four day work week with five weeks paid time off annually includes CME paid time.
