Internal Medicine Opportunity in Boston Metro Area

Job Description

Primary care group practice seeking Internal Medicine physician for expansion. This is a collaborative group practice setting with established presence in the community. Shared outpatient call coverage 1:6 weekday / weekend with hospitalist service for inpatient coverage.
Board certified / board eligible in Internal Medicine. MD or DO trained in the United States. Minimum one year practice experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation, and solid clinical expertise. Interested in practicing in the Greater Boston area.
Office is approximately 10 miles (20 minutes) from the hospital with ample parking available on-site. Office suite is located along Route 110 in the heart of the city's commercial district. The medical building also houses pediatrics, orthopedics, physical therapy and rehab, radiology (including mammography and MRI), dermatology and other specialty services. Average 20-25 patients per day; current practice experiencing 3-4 new patients daily. Both adult and adolescent medicine provided. Laboratory and X-Ray services on-site. Electronic health record. Participation in PHO Medical Management.
The primary care practice has been established for more than 20 years. Provider compliment includes 5 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners. Physician clinical interests include geriatrics, infectious disease, womens health and prevention and all focus predominantly on primary care. Annual salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits including insurance and CMEs. Partner track after initial review period. Practice matches 401k contributions up to 3%. Incentive plan based on volume and quality measures can add up to 20 to 30 percent additional over base salary. Practice income guarantee for approximately 18-24 months. Preliminary pro forma available for review with final pro forma developed in concert with physician. Practice development consultant provided by hospital to support physician transition into the practice.
