Job Description
Private Practice of 3 B/C Internists and a B/C Geriatric Specialist needs to add a General Internist due to growth in the community. Office is located one mile from the hospital. Staff also includes 2 Physician Assistant's and 2 Nurse Practitioners. Call coverage shared amongst physicians and mid-level providers. Have EMR records. Candidate must be B/E or B/C in Internal Medicine to be considered.
Practices are located in southern Michigan area, two hours from Detroit. Population of the area is 55,000 with a service draw of 200,000. Good public and parochial schools systems. There are three major colleges and seven small colleges all within one hour of this community. Richly endowed with lakes, rivers, streams, hills and farms, the terrain is characterized by vegetation and forests. Although this area experiences the four seasons, the climate is moderated by the “lake effect.” Prevailing westerly winds crossing Lake Michigan warm the winter and cool the summer. There are recreational activities for the whole family starting with the communities annual “International Hot Air Balloon Champions”, The City’s Golf Course is consistently rated one of the best municipal golf courses in the state and was recently expended to 27 holes.
