Loan repayment. Internist with a busy solo practice of 10 years in lovely four season southeastern Michigan is looking for an Internal Medicine physician to join him immediately. The practice is located in a small college town within a prime location. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. with weekday call share at 1:3 and weekend call at 1:5. Daily average patients are 25-30 for outpatient and 4-6 for inpatient. Staff consists of 2 LPN’s and 2 MA’s who are cross-trained. Office also has EMR (MISYS, one of the CCHIT certified EMR program). Equipment used in the office is a Dexascan machine and EKG. Some injections will be required. Payor mix consists of mostly commercial and Medicare but almost no Medicaid insurance. This is a medically underserved area so J-1 candidates do qualify and loan repayment is available. BC/BE – must be BC unless physician is a new grad or within the first few years of training with planned date to sit for Boards. We regret that this is not an opening for H1-B visa holders.
