Job Description

MS (3470) Internal Medicine or Med Ped Physician is being sought to join 4 busy Hospitalists! The group handles the admissions for 30+ primary care physicians in the community. Call is 1 in 5 plus the availability of a Nurse Practitioner to round with physician on the weekends. Physician works daytime hours M-F with an afternoon off during the week and every fifth week off (10 weeks per year). Weekend call begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and ends at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. There is no shift work and the physician is not required to stay overnight in hospital when on call. Daily admissions average 6 to 8 patients per day. Average volume for each physician is 50 inpatient admissions per month plus consultations. Employed position with potential for a $20,000 bonus based on customer satisfaction. The hospital is a large tertiary facility that has a large 3 county population base.
