"Desert Springs Hospital is assisting an established group of six (five adult and one pediatric) recruit an Internist. This is a busy practice, with two offices plus a satellite location providing services at nine area hospitals. The doctors average 40 patients per day between clinic and hospital; call is 1:6 (usually one night per week plus one weekend every 1.5 months. Compensation includes an income guarantee plus benefits. Desert Springs Hospital, a 286-bed acute care facility located in southeast Las Vegas, has been providing quality healthcare to the residents of Southern Nevada since 1971. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services, including a fast-track area in the ER to treat less acute patients. The hospital also has three full-service catheterization laboratories, a 107,000 square foot Medical Office Building and an Outpatient Surgery facility and is home to the Diabetes Treatment Center, the only ADA accredited diabetes program in Southern Nevada.
