Coastal Washington State – Correctional Facility

Job Description

We are assisting a medium custody prison on the coast of Washington State with the recruitment of a general Internist. Facility currently houses 2,000 men. The infirmary has 18 beds. The medical area has 1 Nurse Practitioner and 3 Physician Assistants who initially see the patients and then make the appropriate referrals to the Internist.

Mid Levels take the first call, while the physician takes backup telephone call only.
There is some flexibility in the schedule. However, the previous schedule was Monday- Friday 8AM- 4:30PM. Mornings are spent rounding on patients, while the afternoon is spent meeting with Mid Levels and seeing between 8-12 patients.
