Job Description

Seeking Nephrologists to replace retiring physician. Only Nephrologist in 60 mile radius. Medical Directorship of outpatient dialysis located on hospital campus, Medical Directorship of hospital inpatient program and establishment of private practice with the assistance of the hospital. A base salary guarantee will be provided by hospital or NRA for 12-18 months. Opportunity to share some call which will be facilitated by the hospital. Board certified in Internal Medicine/Board eligible in Nephrology is acceptable as long as a Board Exam is scheduled.

Practice is located in Matagorda County only 90 miles from Houston, get away from the big city life! Great fishing, beachcombing, shelling and bird watching. Actually an island bordered to the north by the Intracoastal Canal, to the east by the San Bernard, and to the west by Mitchell’s Cut, Sargent Beach is protected by an eight-mile granite revetment wall. It protects the Gulf side of the island and offers a road east and west, behind the wall, for a combined distance of eight miles down the beach.

The Matagorda County Birding and Nature Center spans 34 acres on the Colorado River and offers nature trails, gardens, boardwalks, bridges, and an outdoor education center.
