Inpatient, Stroke-Focused Neurologist Needed; Medical Directorship Available in Nashville, TN

Nashville Flagship Tertiary Medical Center Seeks to Employ Inpatient, Stroke-Focused Neurologist

Potential for Medical Directorship



Requirements:

Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified within 5 years of completion of training in Neurology specialty
Fellowship trained in Neurocritical Care (Stroke, Vascular, Critical Care Neurology) will receive priority consideration
Experienced physician, leader in developing and/or maintaining Neuro-Hospitalist Program is desired, but will consider all Fellowship trained candidates who express interest
Duties:

Oversee Neuro-Hospitalist/Intensivist Program and hiring of physicians
Do Inpatient consults for medical staff including 7 Neurosurgeons
Provide Neurology coverage in ER
Available to consult with Neurosurgical ICU
No Outpatient clinic
Assist in developing and building Stroke Center of Excellence


Work schedule:

5-day work week In-House, 8 to 5 or similar hours
10 days per month on call for ED and providing after-hour Inpatient consults


Back-up:

Established Hospitalist Program will be a resource, handling hospital call opposite new physician's schedule
