Job Description
Dean Health System, a 500+ physician multi-specialty group, is seeking a BE/BC Neurologist with fellowship training in Stroke or Critical Care. The Department of Neurology consists of 10 Neurologists, 4 Neurosurgeons, and 2 Neuropsychologists. This is a full time position. Call will be shared with all Neurologists in the Department, and thus will be 1/12. It is expected that 20-25% of the Neurologist's time will be devoted to administrative and community education duties. The physician will start his/her practice by seeing general Neurology patients, but it is expected that the Stroke component will grow over time. Currently, 50-60% of the Neurology admissions are for Stroke. There is a guaranteed two year salary plus benefits being offered with employment leading to shareholder status. Inpatient work will be done at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. It is a tertiary center for southern Wisconsin.
St. Mary’s Hospital has been serving south central Wisconsin since 1912. The hospital is an acute-care hospital with 350-beds and is generally the hospital to which the Dean Health System physicians admit.
