Must meet VA standards for employment including citizenship or proper Authorization to work in the U.S., proficiency in written/spoken English, and maintain a current, full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory or commonwealth of the U.S. Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F.
NP/Program Manager is a professional RN with advanced education from a university-based NP program and appropriate experience who provides evidence-based care for a population of patients who are managed in their home. As the PM, the NP provides 24-hour management, supervision and leadership for a clinical program. The PM: 1) contributes to forecasting requirements necessary to long-range program planning and development of nursing and related programs 2) designs, modifies, and implements the cost-effective use of resources; 3) sets program standards and implementation for clinical practice, administration and education and 4) promotes the career progression of nursing staff within the program. Will work with the Medical Director and assist with clinical and administrative duties of the program; coordinate home visits of all HBPC staff, monitor to ensure all regulatory standards are met, review all referrals to the program, coordinate and attend all treatment team meetings, provide backup, supervise the staff RNs in the program and make supervised home visits to ensure the competency of the staff RNs.
