Job Description
Community Health Center currently has 1 OBGYN and 1 Midwife. Practice is doing 160 deliveries per year, of which the Midwife is doing 80. New physician can expect do to about 40 deliveries per year, and see an average of 15-18 patients per day in the office. This will be a 4 ½ day work week. Call will be 1:2 Monday - Thursday and 1:3 on weekends. In addition to this limited OB volume, there is a growing segment of GYN surgical cases in this practice. Deliveries and surgeries are done at the local 24 bed critical access hospital, which is affiliated with a larger 310 bed facility. Both hospitals are financially very sound. This Community Health Center offers a very competitive starting salary, and full benefits, including federally funded Tort Malpractice.
Nestled in the southwestern corner of Massachusetts, they are bordered by Connecticut to the south and New York to the west. It is easy to reach by car and is less than 2-1/2 hours from both New York City and Boston. The Appalachian Trail winds through our scenic network of mountains, streams, lakes and forests. The community has a local population of 8K and service draw of 35K. Excellent school systems.
