Job Description
• Brooklyn, NY: An Ob/Gyn is needed to join a successful and expanding multi-specialty group practice which has six Ob/Gyn physicians.
• Availability: Immediate
• Location: This practice is located in Brooklyn, New York (about 40 minutes from Manhattan) Their patient population is very diverse and multi-ethnic. The candidate has many options of where to live: Manhattan, any of the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
• Practice: This is a multi-specialty group with about 36 physicians and has been established for six years. Their practice structure is based on a large Primary care division of about 50,000-plus patients, and a rapidly growing Specialty division. They presently have six ob/gyn physicians. However, only four of the six physicians do Ob. Call rotation will be equally shared on a 1:5 basis. You can expect to do approximately 100 deliveries a year, which is not a fixed number. Although the practice has a total of three offices, their ob/gyn’s rotate through two offices, which are located in Brooklyn. Abortions are referred to an ob/gyn outside of this practice. Payer Mix: 90% insured, 7% Medicaid, 3% cash pay.
Their Ob/Gyns admit to a top-notch medical center in Brooklyn. This facility has an academic affiliation with a very well-respected Manhattan university training program.
• Financial: $ Very competitive base salary plus a production incentive based on gyn work. After two years of employment, there is also opportunity to become a shareholder. The earning potential is very good! (All to be discussed.)
