Park City Medical Center is a new 26-bed facility opening in July 2009. It will house 6 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 15 surgical recovery rooms, 14 ER treatment rooms, and 224 employees. Park City offers an urgent care clinic, lab, dexa-scanner, physical therapy, a surgical center with 3 ORs and 1 procedure room. Intermountain was named the nation's top system in 2005 according to a study of 582 systems by Modern Healthcare magazine and the Verispan research firm and is the only organization to have been ranked No. 1 five times and has been at or near the top of the list every year since the study began in 1994. Park City, elevation 7,000 feet, is located in the mountains east of Salt Lake City in Summit County, population 29,736.
