Hospital on the eastern shore of Maryland seeks an OBGYN due to a retirement. Growing semi rural community is 90 minutes drive from Baltimore and DC, on the eastern shore. Due to the fact that the community is only 28 miles by water across the Chesapeake Bay from the Baltimore area, their access to communications are state of the art. Community has a draw of 40,000 and one their 2 OB’s will retire in early 2008. New provider can expect to average about 150 deliveries per year, with continued growth in the GYN segment of the practice. 62 bed hospital has 4 LDR rooms and a C section suite. Dept was updated in 2003. Hospital will offer a comprehensive 2 year financial guarantee and continued financial assistance with malpractice costs beyond that point. New provider will be able to share call and office space with the remaining OBGYN who has been in the community for about 13 years, since residency completion.
