Job Description

BC/BE ADULT CLASS I PSYCHIATRIST needed in Coastal Alabama 30 Miles north of Mobile, AL.
408 extended-care beds and a 124-bed intermediate care unit for patients with severe mental illness.
Also serves the female forensic in-patient psychiatric center for the southern 1/3 of Alabama.
Inpatient services: Patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Write prescriptions for patients using APA and Court ordered guidelines.
Responsible for overall clinical responsibility to coordinate patient care.
Provide psychiatric opinion orally and in writing to the Court regarding patients condition.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations including mental status examinations and updates.
Prescribes treatment to include medication and other therapeutic measures to control or relieve symptomatic or harmful behavior.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM 4:30PM.
Providers interested in perm salary range: $108,547 to $165,480.
Need is immediate for an initial three month period of time once assignment begins. Client will accept more or less than 3 months coverage (long term multiple needs).
